Anchor handlingA special implementation of ship simulation is anchor handling. Large external forces are imposed on the anchor handling vessel and men on deck need to handle extremely heavy equipment in connecting and disconnecting towing wires, anchors, buoys etc. The high activity within the oil-industry demands the fleet of anchor handlers to be in full operation. So for training new crew members in these dangerous operations ship owners rely on simulators. In a consortium of MARIN, MPRI and Tree C we provide full mission bridge, engine room and anchor handling simulators to this market.

It combines industries best in ship and engine room simulation tightly integrated with Tree C’s visual-, physics and animation system. If in any application accuracy and reliability is important it is in anchor handling. All effort is aimed at safe operations to protect human life.
